Milton, FL - It was reported weeks ago that a $100,000 bounty was placed on the head of Marshal Briggs. Leading up to the Conspiracy special event this past weekend, the identity of the bounty originator was unknown and remains a mystery. However, that didn't stop a certain CWF Star from attempting to cash in on the bounty.
"The Fleaux Hawk" Justin Flo made his intentions known at Voltage in March, when he attacked Briggs from behind during an in-ring interview. This attack led to Briggs challenging Flo to a match at Conspiracy. Early in the event, Flo attacked "The American Outlaw" from behind, zeroing in on his knee during his vicious attack. Amazingly, Marshal Briggs was determined to compete in the match later in the night and fought valiantly, but ultimately came up short against "The Fleaux Hawk".
As a result of the match, Briggs suffered a patellar tendon partial tear and patellar contusion on his left knee. According to reports, Briggs also suffered a minor concussion after having his head driven into the mat repeatedly by Flo. The injuries sustained are expected to keep the Marshal out of action for 2-4 months. What's next for Justin Flo now that he's seemingly taken "The American Outlaw" out of action and collected the $100k bounty? Have we seen the last of Marshal Briggs as an in-ring competitor?
While not confirmed, Briggs is expected to appear at CWF Voltage on June 17th to address his medical condition and in-ring future. Tickets for the June edition of Voltage can be purchased here.
